Walt Disney World Golf Clinches 2026 Resort Course of the Year
“The Happiest Place on Turf” has earned national recognition from the largest association of golf course owners for delivering an exceptional golf experience.
The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) has named Walt Disney World Golf (WDW Golf) the 2026 NGCOA Resort Course of the Year. The award highlights the outstanding overall experience offered to golfers and the meaningful contribution to growing and energizing the game.
Cathy Harbin, President of the NGCOA Board of Directors, praised the achievement: “Walt Disney World® Golf represents the pinnacle of resort-level golf experiences, setting a high bar for service, design, and industry leadership. The Arnold Palmer Golf Management team at Walt Disney World Resort is deeply passionate about the industry, delivering first-class experiences and inspiring others. It is a privilege to recognize their dedication and shine a spotlight on their achievements.”
Doug Howe, Chief Operating Officer of Century Golf Partners (which owns Arnold Palmer Golf Management), echoed the sentiment: “This prestigious award confirms the strong alignment when the Walt Disney World® Resort entrusts a management team dedicated to operational excellence. APGM’s success rests on a commitment to quality, consistency, and integrity in every facet—from agronomy to guest experience—ensuring the highest standards. WDW Golf spans 63 holes across four properties. The flagship championship courses—Disney’s Palm, Magnolia, and Lake Buena Vista—are complemented by Disney’s Oak Trail, a 9-hole walking course.
Recent course updates include Palm’s extensive aerification in August to promote healthier turf through improved air and water flow, and Magnolia’s comprehensive renovation earlier this year, featuring redesigns, new Disney-themed elements, and the rebranding of all 18 holes.
The NGCOA will formally present the Resort Course of the Year award to WDW Golf at the Golf Business Conference 2026 in Orlando, Florida.
