Losing a loved one is never easy, and today, we remember Mary Fallon (née O'Connor).
Mary, who peacefully passed away on December 12th, 2025, after a short but brave battle with illness at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny, will be deeply missed. She was a resident of 27 Dolmen Gardens, Pollerton, Carlow, and formerly of the Boundary House, Doonane Bridge, Crettyard, Co. Kilkenny. Mary was predeceased by her father, Patrick Joseph.
She leaves behind a loving family: her husband, Noel; daughters Meadhbh and Áine; her mother, Bridget; and her siblings Frances, Helen, Elizabeth, Catherine, Brigid, Paula, Eamon, Patrick, and Liam. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and many friends. This shows how many lives she touched.
But here's where the practical details come in:
Mary's remains will be reposing at Coady's Funeral Home, Castlecomer (R95 AK38), starting on Tuesday, December 16th, at 5:00 PM. A Vigil Prayers & Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM that evening. Funeral Prayers will take place on Wednesday at 1:45 PM, followed by a procession to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Moneenroe (via Doonane Bridge), for a Requiem Mass at 2:30 PM. A private cremation will follow. For those unable to attend, the Funeral Mass will be available to view on the Parish Webcam cloghparish.ie.
